Completed a new musical project. The Poetics of Sound is a daily improvisational journey in sound, generally for violin. Beginning Jan 1, 2010 and ending April 15th, 2010, it was a quiet time for listening and imagining.

Poetics was a walking meditation of sorts. A sojourn where we could pause to investigate musical motives, themes, rhythms, architecture or minutiae over days or weeks or change everything in the moment.

Inspired by Gaston Bachelard's book about space, home and imagination.

Just finished a two week stint as composer/performer in Kansas City, MO where I created a one hour score for an Etre Arts outdoor dance performance. Worked with 5 incredibly talented KC dancers, a mime, a wonderful funk ensemble and choreographer/director extrodinaire Nicole Romine. Despite having to change venues at the last minute the show, which was part of the K.C. Fringe Festival, was a wonderful experience and played to sold out audiences four nights in a row.
