Color Abstract explores a one-to-one relationship between the color and sound spectrums. This is an invention for four voices, substituting light for sound in various combinations allowing the audience to perceive the use of motive in color. The physical setup includes two color fields onstage and a Jitter/Max patch to link a MIDI keyboard to the software color generator and LCD projectors. The colors are roughly the frequencies of a f chromatic scale only 42 octaves higher. Music by Andrew Papadeas, concept by Benjamin Robison.
